Our Mission:
To bring the wonderful world of music to children and adults and to create a lifelong love of music while helping them grow intellectually and physically while at the same time helping to increase self-confidence and self-esteem.
A Brief History
The Music Connection was started back in 1995 by Darren & Lynn Muise. We originally opened our doors in N. Beverly offering our music lessons to the residents of Beverly, Danvers, Salem, Hamilton, Wenham, Manchester, Essex, Ipswich, Peabody, Gloucester and towns throughout the North Shore. Offering Piano Lessons, Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Voice Lessons, Saxophone Lessons, Clarinet Lessons and more!
In 1999 Darren became certified in Kindermusik® and they opened up a studio in the same location in N. Beverly. In talking with parents, Darren found that most families were running to 3 or 4 different places with their children for activities like music, dance, gymnastics, karate and more! With that concept, Darren & Lynn opened Kidsworks® in Essex in 2003. Kidsworks offerred all those programs under one roof making it very convenient for families saving time and money.
In 2007 they moved the business to Danvers, briefly on Endicott St. then finally settling on High St. in Danvers where they currently reside. No longer offering dance or gymnastics, they are focused on bringing the joy and benefits of music instruction to their students. Having serviced over 3000 students since 1995, The Music Connection remains the North Shore's Finest Choice For Music Instruction.

Meet The Owner....
The Music Connection is owned by Darren and Lynn Muise. Darren holds a Bachelors Of Music from The Berklee College Of Music in Boston. He has been teaching piano lessons for over 20 years. He is also a certified Kindermusik instructor and brings his love of music to pre-schools all over the North Shore. When not running the Music Connection you can find Darren playing live music with various band projects and also coaching his 4 kids in soccer. Darren and Lynn look forward to meeting you and starting you down the musical road.

Other studios offer multiple instruments, but we are one of the only studios to offer Music Lessons for all 5 of the most popular instruments: Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Electric Bass, Voice, Piano and Drum set and we are even on the cutting edge with lessons in Music Technology.

All of our teachers have either University training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With multiple teachers for many instruments, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn.
3. Ability for families to take different instruments simultaneously.
With so many teachers on staff, we are in some cases, able to put 2 different students from the same family with 2 different teachers at the same time! It doesn't matter which instruments. Most of our teachers teach multiple instruments so it is also possible for a student to try different instruments.
4. Family run on the North Shore by the Muise family since 1995.
Darren and Lynn Muise started The Music Connection back in April of 1995. Since then they have expanded into the fields of dance and gymanstics but recently made the decision to solely focus on Music Lessons. Their 4 children have all grown up around The Music Connection and are all actively involved in music i there school and at The Music Connection in lessons and in Rock School.

12:00 p.m.. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Music Connection has been here on the North Shore helping children and adults to realize their musical goals, make them smarter in school and enrich their lives through music since 1995. Some students have been with us from Kindergarten through Senior year in high school. They only left because they went off to college. Most have continued to play and study at college.
7. A comfortable waiting room for parents.
Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional waiting room with comfortable chairs, kids toys, Wi-Fi, magazines and bottled water service. We also provide observation windows on every door so that you can watch your child's lesson while you wait. Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
8. Fully stocked music lesson rooms.
Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos and more. All you need to bring is your instrument.
9. All inclusive music recitals.
Every June and December, our students have the option of performing in our recitals. Students are not required to perform, but many choose to. Parents may have to pay a small admission or donation but there are never any related fees for these recitals.
10. Month to Month lessons.
The Music Connection does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis. We just have a policy of 1 month notice to discontinue your lessons.

Students Of The Month
Alec M. from Beverly, MA, has been taking lessons at The Music Connection since he was 6 years old. Alec takes guitar from Randy and he plays Soccer year round and gets very good grades. Alec also plays Tenor Sax in the school band and guitar in the All City Jazz Band. He also plays in the Ruach Band at his Temple.
He is also a founding member of the famous Rock School Band Untre Disastre along with his Twin brother Oliver and his older brother Darren and their best friend Eddie Crowley who was our student of the month back in February.
